The University of Nevada, Reno School of Medicine, in partnership with Renown Regional Medical Center, is seeking BC/BE Internal Medicine physicians interested in an academic affiliation while building clinical programs. This clinical faculty physician will practice general internal medicine in the outpatient setting with occasional inpatient responsibility. This position will participate in the teaching and supervision of medical students, residents, fellows, and other trainees.
Applicants for this position will demonstrate excellence in patient care and strong teaching skills. Candidates must have experience in at least three of the following areas: clinical practice experience in Internal Medicine; resident teaching in an ACGME accredited residency program; medical student teaching; clinical trial research; NIH or VA Merit Review/Cooperative Study funded research; and Residency/Fellowship administration.
M.D., D.O. or equivalent degree. Must have ABIM board certification or have completed an ACGME-approved Internal Medicine or Med-Peds Residency Program within 2 years prior to the start date and will be ABIM eligible. Must be eligible for unrestricted Nevada medical license and malpractice insurance coverage. Must meet credentialing requirements of community and teaching hospitals in Reno, NV.
A research agenda and prior teaching experience is highly desirable.
