The Position
The College of Business invites applications for an Associate Professor, Department Chair of Finance. The faculty member will serve as the interim chair and teach courses in the College of Business. This is a full-time, non-tenure track position. As Interim Chair, the individual will promote academic qualify, support recruitment and retention efforts as well as supervise instruction and advising, schedule classes, and respond to student concerns. Duties as the Interim Chair also include: coordinating assessment, program review, and curricular revision; supervising and evaluating faculty,
program directors, and staff in the department and building and maintaining mutually beneficial interdisciplinary relationships with other departments and/or colleges and with external partners.

As Associate Professor, the individual will teach a variety of finance courses, at both the undergraduate and graduate levels; 12 credit hour teaching load per semester. The faculty member must maintain office hours, assist students and foster positive interaction with colleagues and external parties.

Qualifications
The qualified candidate will have a Master’s in Finance or Accounting with an emphasis in Finance, Economics or Statistics. Acceptance into a doctoral program in Finance, Accounting or Business Administration with an emphasis in Finance, Economics or Statistics.
