This full-time, 35 hours per week, open-ended position is available from 1st October 2017.

The University seeks to appoint a world-leading scholar to its established Chair of Social Work – newly entitled the Centenary Chair, as the 2018 Centenary of Social Work at Edinburgh approaches.

The Chair will be located in the subject area of Social Work in the School of Social and Political Science, with leadership roles including, initially, Head of Social Work.

The successful candidate will have an internationally leading research profile; will possess teaching and supervision skills and experience of exceptional quality; and will further the School’s international reputation for research and its commitment to excellence in teaching and administration.
