Position Summary:
Oklahoma City University invites applications for the position of Principal Faculty, Assistant or Associate Clinical Professor in the Physician Assistant (PA) Program. This is a full-time, 12-month non-tenure track position located in the heart of Oklahoma City. The successful candidate will contribute to the education and development of future healthcare professionals and play a pivotal role in advancing the mission of the PA program.
Responsibilities:
- Provide didactic education and course coordination for first-year PA students.
- Facilitate small group learning experiences and provide clinical instruction.
- Offer academic counseling and support to students on academic issues.
- Collaborate with program faculty and staff in curriculum development and assessment.
- Participate in the development and maintenance of clinical rotation sites.
- Serve as a mentor and advisor to PA students.
- Engage in scholarly activities and professional development.
- Contribute to university and program committees as assigned.
Qualifications:
- Master’s degree with eligibility for licensure as a Physician Assistant in Oklahoma.
- Current certification by the NCCPA and eligibility for licensure in Oklahoma.
- Experience in graduate-level education preferred, including syllabi, test, and lecture preparation.
- Ability to work autonomously in providing direct patient care services.
- Minimum of two years of experience in PA education and providing direct patient care services preferred.
