Clinical Asst Professor (C/T)

The University of Colorado School of Dental Medicine (CUSDM) currently seeks outstanding applicants for a full-time, clinical or tenure track position at the rank of Assistant or Associate Professor in the Department of Diagnostic and Biological Sciences. Responsibilities include planning key components of a new integrated curriculum; teaching/facilitating interprofessional seminar; directing/teaching courses that integrate clinical general dentistry, oral pathology /oral medicine and systemic health concepts; in addition to scholarly activities, and service.

The University of Colorado School of Dental Medicine is located on the Anschutz Medical campus, one of the nation’s newest comprehensive academic health science centers that includes Schools of Medicine, Pharmacy, Public Health; a College of Nursing, a Comprehensive Cancer Center, and the two nationally ranked hospitals, Children’s Hospital Colorado, and the University of Colorado Hospital.

Salary and Benefits:

The hiring salary for this position will commensurate with skills and experience. This position is not eligible for overtime compensation.

Candidates must possess a DDS/DMD from a CODA accredited U.S. dental school or foreign equivalent; completion of a CODA approved Oral Pathology or Oral Medicine Residency Program, Board Certification in Oral Pathology or Oral Medicine, and eligibility for a Colorado or Academic dental license.


The preferred candidate will have academic experience; have experience in interprofessional curricular elements and the integration of basic science concepts with clinical dentistry; a demonstrated commitment to working in a collaborative and multi-cultural environment; and must be committed to the highest standards of ethical and professional conduct.
