The English Department at Eastern Illinois University invites applications for a full-time non-tenure-track instructor position. Responsibilities include teaching undergraduate and graduate courses in areas of expertise and program need, with the ability to teach both in the first-year writing sequence as well as at least one of our areas of emphasis within the undergraduate and graduate programs (creative writing, professional writing, English Language Arts for teacher certification, or literary and cultural studies). The position begins August 16, 2019.

A doctorate in English or closely related area is required (ABD will be considered). Demonstrated commitment to diversity and experience with promoting inclusive excellence is required.
