Kent State University at Stark invites applications for a full-time Non-Tenure-Track, nine-month position as Lecturer in Accounting, within the College of Business to begin August 2019.

Duties/essential functions may include, but not be limited to, the following:
The successful candidate will teach face-to-face, online, and hybrid undergraduate courses in accounting. This is a five course, 15 credit hour per semester teaching load. Course assignments will primarily be intro to financial accounting, intro to managerial accounting, and a junior level cost control course. Service to the university, campus, and profession is encouraged but not required.
Master’s degree in Business and professional certification (CPA and/or CMA). Evidence of successful teaching at a collegiate institution and/or substantial relevant professional accounting experience.
Preferred Qualifications – if applicable:
Ph.D. in an appropriate discipline; professional certification (CPA, CMA, CIA); substantial experience teaching accounting courses face-to-face, online and hybrid; experience and/or interest in using active learning strategies; substantial professional accounting experience. Candidates are expected to maintain qualifications required to maintain AACSB accreditation.

Working Conditions / Physical Requirements:
Light work-Exerting up to 20 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 10 pounds of force frequently to move objects. Incumbent must be able to communicate with others. Incumbent may be required to travel from building to building frequently and off campus occasionally.
