Habib University is seeking faculty applications for its Computer Engineering program housed in the Dhanani School of Science and Engineering.

Founded in 2014, Habib University is an undergraduate liberal arts and sciences institution whose pedagogical model encompasses a holistic education aimed at creating well rounded individuals who are global citizens yet acutely aware of their own context. With a highly qualified faculty, small class sizes, and a commitment to a faculty to student ratio of 1:12, Habib University emphasizes close interaction among the faculty and the students so that the faculty may inspire their passion for learning in the students. Its vision has earned the university key international partnerships which enable opportunities for the faculty to advance their pedagogical and professional skills.

The Computer Engineering program is an interdisciplinary field covering the engineering aspects of both hardware and software of computational systems. Through this program students are equipped with the necessary skills to design, develop and innovate solutions that are in line with the rapidly changing needs of modern times.

Due to Habib University’s unique pedagogical model, the program seeks a cultural compatibility in potential candidates in addition to their academic qualifications. The ideal candidate possesses excellent teaching and scholarly skills, enjoys influencing the intellectual growth of their students, has a love of learning and a passion for engineering, is excited about undergraduate research, works well in interdisciplinary teams, and holds a view to contribute to the growth of the institution and betterment of society.

The program is inviting applications for multiple, open-rank positions from candidates with expertise in Software Engineering, Embedded Systems, Computer Networks and Distributed Systems. Candidates with expertise in other related domains are also encouraged to apply. Appointment is expected to begin in August, 2019.
