Summary of Job Duties and Responsibilities:
Successful applicant must also demonstrate commitment to high quality classroom and clinical instruction, campus and community service, and assisting with graduate research. Teach courses within the Nutrition and Dietetics program with strengths in basic nutrition, lifecycle nutrition, community nutrition, basic food science, food management, and clinical nutrition. Additional responsibilities include advising, recruiting,supervising interns, grant proposal writing,engaging in service at the departmental, collegiate, university, community, and professional levels. Candidates will be expected to develop an independent and collaborative plan for engaging in research, creative, and scholarly activity.
Minimum Education Requirements:
Master’s degree in nutrition, dietetics, or a related field.
Minimum Experience and Skill Requirements:
Minimum of three years clinical and/or teaching experience. Applicant must be credentialed as a Registered Dietitian Nutritionist/Registered Dietitian with the Commission on Dietetic Registration at the time that application is submitted. Successful applicant must have attained state licensure (LD) via the Kentucky Board of Licensure by appointment date.
Preferred Education and/or Experience Qualifications:
Earned doctorate with at least one graduate degree in nutrition, dietetics, or a related field.
