Summary of Job Duties and Responsibilities:
Teach undergraduate courses in earth and environmental sciences, including introductory geology and earth science courses, rocks and minerals, and soils and stratigraphy. Outreach in regional schools, home school groups, and other entities. Prepare recruitment materials and recruit students for the Department. Serve as faculty advisor to student clubs.

Minimum Education Requirements:

  • A Master’s degree in earth and environmental sciences, geology, geosciences or a closely-related field is required.

Minimum Experience and Skill Requirements:

  • At least one year of teaching experience required.
  • Candidate must demonstrate effectiveness in undergraduate teaching, in the classroom and/or online.
  • Experience in public outreach or student recruitment required.
