The Finance Department of the Isenberg School of Management invites applications for a full-time Lecturer position, non-tenure track, to start in September 2018. This position’s main focus is in the area of corporate real estate. Candidates must have a Master’s degree in Finance, an MBA or a related discipline, by August 31, 2018. Candidates with a PhD may be given preference. Preference will be given to applicants with both academic and professional experience in the area of corporate real estate. For example, teaching real estate courses and work experience that includes (but is not limited to) real estate transactions, facilities management, real estate business and risk management, valuation, and real estate consulting. Preference will be given to candidates who are Argus certified.
Isenberg currently offers an undergraduate certificate in real estate through a series of three courses that culminate in Argus certification. The successful candidate will teach real estate courses both at the undergraduate and graduate levels and assist in the development of a graduate certificate in corporate real estate as well as an undergraduate concentration within the finance major. The initial appointment will be for one year, with renewal based on performance. Lecturers at UMass Amherst enjoy significant benefits and status under the negotiated faculty contract (see Article 21 of the MSP/MTA/NEA contract). The Lecturer will join a team of faculty noted for excellence and innovation in undergraduate and graduate education.
