Job description

The Department of World Languages and Cultures at Old Dominion University invites applications for a full-time, non-tenure-track Lecturer in Spanish, effective August 2019. Applicants should have at least a Masters Degree in Spanish or a related field with a minimum of 18 graduate credits in Spanish. Preference will be given to a candidate who specializes in translation and interpretation and/or teaching for the professions. An interest in service learning is highly desirable. Applicants are required to possess native or near-native fluency in Spanish. The faculty member’s primary responsibilities will include teaching courses within the departmental major program, curriculum development, and engaging in service at the department and university levels.
