Department: Physician Assistant Program

Position Summary:

The Physician Assistant Program at Monmouth University is seeking applications for a Specialist Professor starting as early as spring 2019. This anticipated opening is a one year initial appointment subject to subsequent multi-year reappointments without limit.

The candidate would be expected to: teach 12 credits per semester of classroom and laboratory instruction; prepare materials, author, administer, and grade written and practical examinations; maintain a regular schedule of office hours for student advising, tutoring, and remediation; engage in program evaluation, student admissions, student evaluations, and curriculum development; contribute to activities related to program development and maintenance, and follow the PA calendar for student teaching; and be available for other program functions as needed.

Master’s degree

Required Skills or Software:
Excellent interpersonal, organizational and communication skills

Required Years of Experience: 3

Other Requirements:

Masters degree or higher in a Physician Assistant program or related field.

Three years of clinical experience.

National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants (NCCPA) certification.

Preferred Qualifications:
Classroom teaching experience.
