The University of Findlay invites applications for a tenure-track position in animal science to begin August 1, 2019. The Department of Animal and Pre-Veterinary Studies boasts nearly 600 undergraduate students.
Candidates must hold a Ph.D. in Animal Science or related agricultural field and be able to teach a variety of courses in animal science which may include courses in: animal science, meat science, meat animal evaluation, animal breeding and genetics, animal nutrition, animal reproduction, forage and crop production, and livestock production and management. Candidates that are ABD at the time of application will also be considered. Candidate must possess terminal degree at time of appointment. Prior teaching experience is preferred. A willingness and desire to advise undergraduate students in Animal Science is desired. Must be able to develop and manage an undergraduate research program in a field compatible with resources available. Rank and salary are commensurate with qualifications. Candidates must be committed to student-centered education as well as professional development and scholarship.
