Job description

The Department of Hispanic Studies at Illinois Wesleyan University invites applications for a one-year, full-time, visiting assistant professor/instructor position beginning in August 2018. Candidates with expertise in all areas related to Spanish language studies are welcome to apply.

Essential responsibilities of the position:
Teach six Spanish classes (teaching load of 3/3), and hold regular office hours (five hours per week).

Ph.D. or ABD in Spanish or related field preferred (M.A. in Spanish with teaching experience at college-level would be considered); native or near-native fluency in Spanish and English; experience teaching Spanish at college level, and a strong commitment to undergraduate teaching.
