Professor/Associate Professor/Assistant Professor in Sport, Physical Education and Health (23241166)

The Academy of Wellness and Human Development invites applications for the positions of Professor/ Associate Professor/ Assistant Professor. Successful candidates will be expected to engage in cutting-edge academic research, contribute to the delivery of undergraduate and postgraduate programmes, supervise student projects and dissertations, and participate in departmental activities as required.

Candidates should have expertise in one or more of the following areas: exercise and sports science, biomechanics, physiology, epidemiology, sports technology, cognitive neuroscience, health and wellness promotion, and sports industry management.

For those applying to the sports industry management programme, proficiency in areas such as sports business analytics, sports tourism, esports, sports media, sports marketing, sports law, and event management is essential.

Requirements:

  • A relevant doctoral degree;
  • Strong track record in research and tertiary teaching experience;
  • Substantial publication record in high-impact international refereed journals; and
  • Solid experience in course instruction, research student supervision, programme administration and development, and academic administration.

Those applying for the Associate Professor position or higher should demonstrate extensive experience and success in securing research grants.

The initial appointment will be offered on a fixed-term contract of two to three years, commencing August/September 2025. Re-appointment thereafter will be subject to mutual agreement and availability of funding.

Rank and salary will be commensurate with qualifications and experience.
