Job Summary:

This Adjunct Faculty member provides Instruction primarily in Endoscopy Technicial courses and other related areas given appropiate credentials.
Courses may be taught in an array of teaching modalities: MDC In-Person, MDC Live (Learning Interactively in a Virtual Environment), MDC Online (online delivery) and Blended Classes.

Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Teaches in lecture and laboratory settings
  • Plan and organizes instructional materials to meet course objectives
  • Evaluates and advises students
  • Develops curricula
  • Recruits students
  • Participates in departmental and College affairs
  • Serves on committees
  • Performs other duties as assigned

Minimum Requirements:

  • Associate’s degree in a Health Care related field; or Associate’s degree; and Certificate in Flexible Endoscope Reprocessor (GI SCOPE) (CFER) from the Certification Board for Sterile Processing and Distribution, Inc. (CBSPD); and Two (2) years of full-time work experience as an Endoscopy Technician.
  • All educational degrees must be from regionally accredited institutions
  • Ability to communicate effectively (written and verbal)
  • Must be able to work well with students, faculty, staff and the community
  • Ability to work flexible schedule which may include morning, evening and weekend assignments
  • Must be able to travel between campuses, clinical sites and off-campus offering sites
