Nova Southeastern University (NSU) – The Department of Clinical and School Psychology invites qualified applications for an open-rank faculty position in clinical psychology. We are seeking an established researcher to join our dynamic and expanding College. Candidates with expertise in neuropsychology are particularly encouraged to apply.

The successful candidate will have a commitment to excellence in research, teaching, and mentoring students. They must be actively involved in scholarship, with expectations to maintain an ongoing program of research, peer-reviewed publications, and student research supervision. The most desirable candidate will have active funding to support their research. Applicants must be licensed or license-eligible as psychologists in the state of Florida.

The faculty member is expected to teach core and elective courses in clinical psychology. Additional responsibilities may include clinical supervision of doctoral psychology trainees and engaging in service activities. The teaching load is contingent on research productivity, clinical supervision load, and service activities.

Required Qualifications

  • Potential to secure external funding to support a research program
  • Doctorate degree in clinical or counseling psychology
  • Licensed or license-eligible as a psychologist in the state of Florida
  • College and/or university level teaching experience
  • A strong record of scholarly publications

Desired Qualifications

  • Clinical/scholarly expertise in neuropsychology
  • Current grant funding in support of an ongoing research program

The Department of Clinical and School Psychology offers APA-accredited Ph.D. and Psy.D. programs in clinical psychology, an APA-accredited Psy.D. program in school psychology, and a specialist program in School Psychology. The Department also houses 2 APA-accredited pre-doctoral internship programs and a postdoctoral residency. The Department trains students at its Psychology Services Center, which serves a diverse population of children, adolescents, and adults through its general and faculty-directed specialty clinical training programs.
