Job Summary
Teaching Mathematical courses at the undergraduate and graduate levels.
Developing research in the field and doing services for the department, the school and the university.Knowledge Skills and Abilities

- Provide support for continuous process improvement of the academic programs and the department
Essential Job Functions
- Demonstrate knowledge of instructional strategies and techniques appropriate to teaching, managing, motivating, evaluating and at advising adult students
- Interact with students in an appropriate professional manner
- Participate in service to the department, the school, the university, and the community
- Provide advisement to Math and Computer Science students about curriculum and registration requirements for graduation
- Comply with departmental curriculum, grading standards, student performance data, attendance policies, textbook choices and assessments
- Attend classes regularly as scheduled.
- Contribute to continual program improvement through annual evaluation of program outcomes and objectives
- Served on faculty committees
- Participate in recruitment of students to the program
- Actively engage in professional activities related to Math and Computer science, including a demonstrated commitment to specific research agenda
- Demonstrate evidence of sensitivity to an understanding of the diverse, academic, socioeconomic, cultural, disability and ethical background of staff and students in diverse communities
- Assist the unit in the accreditation / reaffirmation process
- Maintain effective written and verbal communication with students, faculty and department chair or designee
Qualifications
Ph.D. in Mathematics from an accredited school.
Authorization to work in the US.Licensing and Certifications
