Responsibilities:

New York Institute of Technology’s College of Engineering and Computing Sciences is inviting applications for the position of Assistant or Associate Professor in Bioengineering (full-time, tenure-track or tenured; Long Island campus). Research areas of interest include bioengineering/medical devices.

Commitment to teaching and research at the undergraduate and graduate levels is required.

Qualifications:

Candidates must have a Ph.D. degree in Bioengineering, Electrical & Computer Engineering, or related area, excellent communication skills, and a solid publication record.

Candidates for the rank of Assistant Professor must demonstrate an innovative research record and/or industrial experience and exceptional leadership and mentoring skills, and potential for securing sponsored research, contracts, and external grants.

Candidates for the rank of Associate Professor, in addition to the qualifications for the rank of Assistant Professor, must demonstrate a strong record of academic teaching, research and scholarship suitable for an appointment as a tenured Associate Professor.
