Job description
Briar Cliff University of Iowa, an institution committed to higher education within a liberal arts and Catholic perspective, seeks applications for a 9-month, full-time Assistant Professor of Art to start in the Fall of 2023.
Requirements
Candidates must have earned a terminal degree, preferably either an M.F.A. in Studio Art or a Ph.D. in Art History or show evidence of the planned receipt of the degree before the Fall 2023 semester.
Key Responsibilities

- Teach a 4/4 load with course release for administrative duties. Typical courses include art history, art appreciation, drawing, design, and studio courses.
- Curate and maintain the campus art gallery.
- Serve on committees and participate in ongoing education through our Center for Excellence in Learning and Teaching.
