Job Description
Assistant Professor – Pathology
Position involves clinical and teaching components. Clinical duties include general surgical pathology as well as specialty, on-call rotation, and may include multiple site assignments. Teaching involves both classroom instruction and clinical setting mentoring/education of medical students and residents.
Participation in clinical research encouraged.
Workload includes general surgical cases as well as specialty cases.
Salary Range: Salary is commensurate with experience and internal equity
Education
Requires medical degree or foreign equivalent and pathology residency.
Must be able to obtain unrestricted West Virginia medical license.
Experience
Anatomic Pathology board certification required.
Must be able to perform all essential job duties as outlined in the job description.
Experience
Anatomic and Clinical Pathology certification preferred.
Fellowship in Dermatopathology, Gastrointestinal Pathology, or additional surgical pathology training
preferred.
Strong General Pathology background preferred.
