Description:The responsibilities of the position of Assistant Teaching Professor and Program Director for Inclusive Pedagogy are to prepare and teach post-secondary introductory and upper level classroom courses in the theory and practice of Education and Inclusive Pedagogy within the University of Notre Dame du Lac Kaneb Center for Teaching Excellence – the Assistant Teaching Professor & Program Director for Inclusive Pedagogy will teach the following courses: GRED 63801 – Pedagogy and Practice in the College Classroom (3 Credit Hours) and GRED 60011 – Inclusive Teaching (1 Credit Hour); Evaluate and grade post-secondary students’ classroom work, assignments, and papers while maintaining student attendance records, grades, and other required records, as well as oversee the design of sophisticated inclusive pedagogy curriculum and syllabus development focused on DEI for classroom courses, programs, and workshops throughout University of Notre Dame du Lac’s seven colleges and schools; Lead and conduct scholarly research and publication in the field of Education and Inclusive Pedagogy and consult with individual faculty and teaching teams on the development, implementation, and evaluation of inclusive teaching strategies; Participate in the University of Notre Dame du Lac Kaneb Center for Teaching Excellence governance by participating in faculty committee work and meetings, as well as oversee the programmatic DEI assessments, teaching practices, and foundational course transformation for specific departments and individual teaching consultations; and Direct the planning, development, and implementation of multifaceted inclusive pedagogy programming and resources to help University of Notre Dame du Lac faculty, staff, and other campus partners generate inclusive DEI (diversity, equity, and inclusion) learning experiences both inside and outside the classroom.

Qualifications:
The position of Assistant Teaching Professor and Program Director for Inclusive Pedagogy requires an earned Doctorate level degree (Ph.D.) in Educational Studies, Education, or a similarly related field. The place of employment for the position of Assistant Teaching Professor and Program Director for Inclusive Pedagogy will take place at University of Notre Dame du Lac – Kaneb Center for Teaching Excellence, 353 DeBartolo Hall, Notre Dame, Indiana 46556.
