tlanta Technical College (ATC) is seeking highly qualified applicants for its full-time Associate Vice President for Academic Affairs in the Academic and Student Affairs division. This position is located on Atlanta Technical College’s main campus, just South of Downtown Atlanta.
Job Duties & Responsibilities
- Supervises academic personnel, programs, and services in these areas:

- Grants Management
- Secondary Initiatives
- Institutional Effectiveness
- Instructional Technology and Design
- Assists in the planning and organizing of the unit’s work to meet objectives.
- Manages budgets and expenditures for the unit.
- Develops and maintains internal control structures for assigned functions.
- Ensures consistent exercise, review, and application of academic policies, procedures, rules and regulations.
- Monitors progress and productivity of assigned staff.
- Reviews operations for efficiency and compliance with applicable regulations and standards.
- Participates in strategic planning.
- Performs research and analysis for special projects.
- Serves on various boards and committees as needed.
- Assists with the compilation of quarterly and annual reports.
- Reviews relevant data and alerts executive vice president of trends and recommended actions.
- Coordinates efforts with Communications, Marketing, and PR on the development of publications for department.
- Serves as liaison with educational, industrial, and community partners to encourage cooperation and partnerships within service delivery area.
- Promotes the College to public and private organizations.
- Oversees accreditation attainment and continuance activities.
- Recommends and manages curriculum changes, program additions, and program terminations.
- Oversees the review of academic term course evaluations by students.
- Works with the Associate Vice President for Learning to review staff development plans for division faculty and staff.
- Assists with student complaints and issues.
- Manages and oversees financial/budget operation of the department.
- Evaluates employees at scheduled intervals upon reviewing all relevant information
- Conducts regular evaluation of services provided and makes adjustments as needed.
- Other duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications
A Bachelor’s degree in a related field AND Five (5) years of related work experience.
Preferred Qualifications
A Master’s degree in a related field AND five (5) years of related work experience (related work experience would include experience with institutional effectiveness, online learning, grants management, and dual enrollment initiatives.
