The Philadelphia VA Medical Center (PVAMC) and the Division of Sleep Medicine in the Department of Medicine at the Perelman School of Medicine at the University of Pennsylvania seek candidates for several Associate Professor positions in the non-tenure clinician educator track. Applicants must have an M.D. or equivalent degree. Candidates should be board certified or board eligible in Sleep Medicine.

Teaching responsibilities may include training residents and fellows in addition to precepting medical students and other trainees in the field of Sleep Medicine.

Clinical responsibilities may include performing comprehensive evaluations of patients with sleep disorders and managing patients with sleep disorders; interpreting polysomnograms, multiple sleep latency tests, and home sleep apnea tests; attending in the sleep disorders clinic and sleep telemedicine program. Clinical responsibilities will be at the Philadelphia VA Hospital as well as the primary outpatient site of the Sleep Division at the University of Pennsylvania.

Research or scholarship responsibilities may include developing evidence-based big data approaches to prevent, diagnose and treat sleep disorders and investigating the relationships between sleep disorders and co-existing conditions. In addition, studies may involve the Million Veteran Program.
