This position will support projects funded by the Maryland Department of Health that focus on tobacco cessation and prevention in the general population, as well as among specific subgroups with a higher prevalence of tobacco use (e.g., behavioral health populations). Involvement in other projects within the HABITS Lab may also be possible.

This position will:

o contribute to content development and preparation of training and implementation materials (slides, manuals,
handouts, website)
o provide logistical support in preparation for and execution of conferences, meetings, etc.
o coordinate and assist with conducting local and regional trainings for providers and other professionals, and
coordinate post-training activities
o liaise with partners and agencies across Maryland and represent MDQuit at meetings, conferences, and other events
as appropriate
o determine and execute strategies for effective and efficient outreach efforts to target populations for training and
related purposes
o assist with data collection and reporting of program and evaluation activities as part of assessing outcomes of training,
technical assistance, and capacity building activities
o manage and track project deliverables
o contribute to setup and management of online training programs
o write progress reports and document other required project activities
o coordinate meetings of project staff and supervise activities of project assistants

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:

A Master’s degree is required (Psychology, Public Health, Public Policy, or related field), plus a minimum of one year of relevant experience. Must be proficient with Microsoft Office, especially Excel and PowerPoint. Experience with website management and/or administration of online training programs is preferred. Training experience is a plus. Individuals with working knowledge of Motivational Interviewing principles and the TTM Stages of Change, and experience with healthcare provider educational teaching/training, are strongly encouraged to apply.
