Minimum Acceptable Qualifications
An earned terminal degree or the degree required for teaching in certain disciplines is required. Potential or demonstrated teaching ability is required. A willingness to serve the academic unit, college, and the University is required. The ability to develop knowledge of, respect for, and skills to engage with those of other cultures or backgrounds is required.
Applicants must have a Master’s degree in Sociology by time of appointment and college teaching experience.
This position includes teaching four sections of general education courses (Introduction to Society and Social Problems), in each of the Fall and Spring semesters.
Courses will be a combination of seated and online, based on department needs.
