Position Overview
At Te Pūtahi-a-Toi – School of Māori Knowledge we are committed to producing graduates and research that are inspired by te ao Māori (the Māori world) and will contribute to te ao whānui
(worldwide).
We are looking to appoint a Lecturer or Senior Lecturer to our hauora team. You would contribute through teaching and research to a specialisation in Māori Health. Our goal is to elevate the health and wellbeing of Māori communities through equity, tiriti-based critique, hauora approaches, strategic development, and Māori research. We are looking for a Māori entrepreneur who can recognise research opportunities and enhance funding capabilities for the benefit of the school.
The role requires this person to have:
• Experience of working with Māori communities for the purpose of research and/or Māori development
• Excellent oral and written communication skill for a wide range of audiences
• Recognised teaching experience
• Teaching in an online environment would be advantageous
• Experience in the teaching of large groups
• A relevant doctoral qualification
