Job SummaryThe Department of Chemistry is seeking multiple Lecturers to teach Chemistry 210 – Structure & Reactivity I; Chemistry 260 – Chemical Principles. The appointments are for Fall Term 2019 only (September 1 – December 31). The positions are at 33.33% effort.

Terms and conditions of employment for this position are subject to the provisions of a Collective Bargaining Agreement between the University of Michigan and the Lecturers Employee Organization.

Required Qualifications*The candidate must hold a Ph.D. in Chemistry, Biochemistry or a closely related field. Preference will be given to candidates who are Research Fellows in good standing in the Department of Chemistry or the Program in Biophysics. Qualified candidates should be fluent in the area of expertise and exhibit evidence of excellent teaching skills.

Union AffiliationThis position is covered under the collective bargaining agreement between the U-M and the Lecturers Employee Organization, AFL-CIO, which contains and settles all matters with respect to wages, benefits, hours and other terms and conditions of employment.
