Position Responsibilities

The Department of Psychology invites applicants for full time temporary faculty position at the rank of assistant professor beginning in August 2019. Salary commensurate with education and experience.

Responsibilities: 

The primary responsibility for this faculty member will be to work with our College for Adults students in the following areas: advising, mentoring, and teaching the equivalent of six courses in the undergraduate psychology program at St. Catherine University during the academic year. Successful applicants will be able to: teach both traditional and adult student populations in online and hybrid environments; teach an advanced lab course in their area of expertise as well as teach targeted independent/directed studies for individual students; and effectively contribute to the highly collaborative work of the Department.

Position Qualifications

Required Qualifications: 

PhD (or ABD) with specialization in clinical/counseling psychology or allied mental health areas is required by August 2019. Commitment to teaching and advising a diverse undergraduate student body and mentoring students; experience teaching adults in face-to-face and hybrid/online formats.

Preferred Qualifications: 

Prior record of excellent teaching; demonstrated skills in advising, mentoring and teaching students from diverse backgrounds; 2+ years teaching adult learners in hybrid/online formats.
