JOB DESCRIPTION AND POSITION REQUIREMENTS:
The Department of Psychology at the Pennsylvania State University (https://psych.la.psu.edu/) invites applications for a Teaching Faculty of Psychology position (non-tenure-track faculty appointment) to begin August 2023. This position will be filled at the rank of Assistant Teaching Professor, Associate Teaching Professor, or Teaching Professor.
Preference will be given to candidates able to teach courses in child/clinical psychology, in addition to core courses such as introductory psychology, research methods and statistics. Candidates should be available for both online and in-person classroom teaching assignments. These are full-time positions with a teaching load of three courses per semester during the academic year.
Previous teaching experience and a Ph.D. in Psychology or related field are preferred; at least ABD status is required at time of appointment. A background in Child/Clinical Psychology is critical. Rank to be determined based on qualifications. In addition, successful candidates must either have demonstrated a commitment to building an inclusive, equitable, and diverse campus community, or describe one or more ways they would envision doing so, given the opportunity.
