About the Position: The Vice President for Enrollment Management and Student Success (VPEMSS) provides visionary leadership and strategic direction for Winona State University’s enrollment management, student success, and marketing initiatives. This role is central to the university’s efforts to attract, recruit, retain, and support a diverse community of learners – both degree seekers and lifelong learners – while aligning enrollment strategies with the institution’s strategic priorities, including the Winona State 2035 vision. Beyond traditional enrollment and student success strategies, the VPEMSS leads University Marketing and Communications, ensuring a cohesive and dynamic approach to enhancing the university’s brand, reputation, and engagement. By integrating marketing efforts with enrollment and student success priorities, this role strengthens the institution’s ability to communicate its value, connect with diverse audiences, and position Winona State as a leader in accessible, career-relevant education. Reporting directly to the President and serving as a member of the President’s Cabinet, the VPEMSS collaborates closely with academic and administrative leaders to foster a culture of student success, innovation, and community engagement, expanding educational pathways that respond to a rapidly evolving workforce and technology landscape. This is a full-time/at-will administrator position. The salary range is $134,505 – $215,539 with salary placement based upon qualifications and experience.

Qualifications: Minimum qualifications include (1) a Master’s degree in Higher Education Administration, Educational Leadership, Business Administration, or a related field (a doctoral degree is preferred); (2) a minimum of seven years of progressive leadership experience in enrollment management, student success, marketing and communications, or a related area within higher education; and (3) demonstrated success in leading strategic enrollment initiatives, including recruitment, retention, and graduation strategies for diverse student populations. Note: Significant professional achievements demonstrating the knowledge, skills, and abilities required for this role may be considered in lieu of formal education requirements.
