Job Description Summary
The Wake Forest University English Department plans to hire a visiting faculty for the 2023-2024 academic year. We seek a person who is ABD or a recent PhD for a one-year contract with the possibility of renewal, depending on departmental needs, to begin in the second half of August. We are seeking specialists in British Literature but are open to considering other areas.

Job Description:

The teaching load is six courses each year (three courses per semester), primarily introductory, writing intensive literature courses.  The salary is competitive.  Candidates with teaching experience will be given preference.  Members of underrepresented groups are particularly invited to apply. AA/EOE.

We offer some assistance with moving expenses; full-time faculty members are provided with a laptop computer for their professional use during their stay.  In addition, visiting faculty may apply for research, publication, and travel funds.
