The Center for State Policy and Leadership at the University of Illinois Springfield seeks a dynamic, skilled professional with substantial experience in dataset linkage of statewide or nationwide databases and complex statistical analyses of the linked datasets. The position will reside within the Institute for Legal, Legislative, and Policy Studies, a unit of the Center for State Policy and Leadership, University of Illinois Springfield. This is a visiting grant funded position.

Minimum required qualifications: B.A. or B.S. required, M.A. or Ph.D. preferred, in math, statistics, computer science, or in a social science field with a very strong quantitative research emphasis. A minimum of five years’ quantitative research experience is required. The individual must have experience working with large statewide or nationwide databases using SAS and other statistical packages (SAS preferred), SQL and Microsoft Access, as well as experience in the management of large datasets on multiple hardware processing platforms. The individual should have extensive PC and mainframe statistical software package experience as well as knowledge of batch and online processing. The applicate must have applied multivariate statistical skills, such as multiple regression, logistic regression, structural equation modeling, and multivariate analysis of variance.

Salary range for position is $60,000 to $70,000 annually. Starting salary dependent upon experience and qualifications. UIS benefits package. Anticipated starting date is November 16, 2020.
