Job description

Manhattanville College is seeking adjunct professors to teach private voice lessons for the Fall 2023 semester (August 28 – December 15). Please note that if the Fall semester is successful, there will be the possibility of future employment.

Schedule: Private lessons are scheduled following the faculty and student’s availability and available studio space.

Format: Lessons will be in person on the Manhattanville College campus.

Qualifications:

Minimum requirements:

· Undergraduate degree in Music.

· Piano skills sufficient for playing voice lessons

· Expertise in classical and musical theatre vocal technique, as evidenced through student or personal performance.

· Membership in appropriate professional organizations: NATS (National Association of Teachers of Singing) MTEA (Music Theatre Educators Association) etc.

Preferred requirements:

· Graduate/Terminal degree in Music: Vocal Pedagogy preferred, Vocal Performance acceptable. Candidates with other degrees will be considered in rare cases.

· Piano skills sufficient for playing voice lessons

· Expertise in classical and musical theatre vocal technique, as evidenced through student or personal performance.
