The University of La Verne invites applicants for a tenure-track Assistant/Associate Professor position in Athletic Training in the Department of Kinesiology to begin in January 2019.

Specific Duties:

Responsibilities include: teaching graduate courses in our CAATE-accredited Masters of Science in Athletic Training (MSAT) and undergraduate content specific courses in area of expertise; scholarly productivity resulting in peer-review publications, conference presentations, professional development activities for athletic training and kinesiology professionals; academic advisement of students in the major; mentoring of student research and thesis projects; service to the department and university; additional responsibility may include leadership in the MSAT program.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Earned doctorate in Athletic Training or related field, ABD considered, evidence of or demonstrated potential for scholarly productivity, and experience as a practitioner in the field is desired with evidence of successful college/university teaching experience in a CAATE-accredited ATP.
  • Certified by, and in good standing with, the Board of Certification (BOC).

Preferred Qualifications:
Experience with ATCAS or related student recruitment, program and student learning outcomes assessment, and graduate education strongly preferred. The successful candidate will demonstrate a proven track record of working with diverse populations.
