Job description

The School of Art and Design at East Carolina University invites applications for a full-time, nine-month, tenure-track Assistant Professor faculty position in graphic design, beginning August 2018. This position will teach undergraduate and graduate students within graphic design concentration of the multidisciplinary BFA in Art and MFA in Art programs. School of Art and Design faculty teach three 3-credit hour courses per semester. The successful candidate will teach in the graphic design area, which may include introductory to graduate level courses, as well as other courses assigned. Additional responsibilities include curriculum development, participating in recruitment for graduate and undergraduate students, and engaging in service to the graphic design concentration, School, College, University, community, and profession.

Minimum Education/Experience:

MFA or terminal degree or equivalent in graphic design or related field is required. Candidates must demonstrate the potential to produce nationally recognized professional design and/or design-related scholarship. Evidence of professional communication, collaboration, organizational, and time-management skill is required.
