Position Summary

Summary:
The Department of Psychiatry and Behavioral Sciences at Morehouse School of Medicine seeks a Licensed Psychologist. The successful candidate should be community-oriented with a demonstrated interest in and commitment to advancing mental health equity through clinical care, education, and scholarship. The appointment also allows for students, residents, and fellow teachers.

General Responsibilities:
Engage in teaching, scholarship, and clinical service in psychiatry and behavioral sciences consistent with the department’s needs and the faculty member’s interests. Participate in administrative duties such as serving on departmental, UME and/or GME, and/or institutional committees.

Reports to:
Department Chairperson and/or Vice Chair of Research

Minimum Qualifications

PhD or PsyD
Georgia Psychology License
Strong interpersonal, clinical, and professional skills
Clinical Experience

Preferred Qualifications

Academic Experience
Track Record of Research & Scholarship
Experience with an Integrated Care Model

Description of Job Duty

Provide care and case management in a clinical setting where care is provided to publicly ensured patients

Serve on department, institutional, and community-based committees

Provide medical student, resident and/or fellow teaching and supervision

Contribution to scholarly activities

Participation in faculty development programs

Immunization Requirements

It is MSM’s Immunization policy that all Prospective Employees are encouraged to provide proof that they are vaccinated against COVID-19 prior to commencement of employment.
