The Assistant Director of Continuing Education will provide leadership in developing, implementing, and delivering CE workforce certification/certificate programs and initiatives. Candidate will manage professional partnerships and provide programmatic instruction as assigned.

This position will be directly involved in the development and implementation of in-demand, high-impact micro-learning programs to increase student skill attainment

This position and the Continuing Education Team will gather, analyze, and utilize institutional data to implement strategic learning opportunities . This will be accomplished through collaborative efforts
This position will work closely with Faculty and staff to strategize and provide the necessary tools and resources for continued student success.

Demonstrated ability to create and maintain a collaborative and team-building environment. Proficiency in teaching methodology, supervision, instruction, evaluation, and guidance to students

Minimum Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree required.
  • An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.

Minimum Experience/Training:

  • Five years of related experience, with three years of supervisory or lead experience required. Workday experience preferred.

Essential Functions:

  • Develops and implements academic and student success , workshops, and other programs. Assist with development and revision of curriculum for workforce related courses that promote in-demand skills.
  • Coordinates: class scheduling, registration processes and administrative operations. Maintains, and submits accurate records, course schedules, grades, course syllabi, course evaluations summaries.
  • Responsible for people management of the area, including recommendation of staffing, hiring, termination and discipline, setting performance standards and evaluating staff, and staff development.
  • Delivers and facilitates training sessions as needed (i.e., workshops, bootcamps, Micro Learning credentials, etc.) Coordinates and conducts ongoing needs assessments.
  • Develops trainings aimed at educating student leaders, faculty, and staff about the populations supported by the office and they ways in which they can support student transition.
  • Works in cooperation with Sr. Leader to manage cost center: budget in ordering educational materials, and teaching supplies in preparation for classes and simulated experiences.
  • Evaluates effectiveness of learning and reports on results and findings. Assess the impact of programs for continuous improvement and goal achievement.
  • Works effectively and collaborate with various campus offices, administrators, faculty, and staff.
  • Engages in ongoing professional development.
  • Assists with program advertising efforts using digital and social media Participate in marketing events and campaigns directly related to learning programs
  • Coordinates, maintains, and submits in a timely manner: accurate records, payroll, adjunct schedules, textbook grades, course syllabi, course evaluations summaries and requests for information .
  • Performs related duties as assigned

  • Proven expertise in executing operational plans, managing projects and/or programs, budgeting, cost control and delivery of results.
  • In-depth managerial and team building skills, and demonstrated ability to motivate and empower direct and indirect reports to achieve area priorities.
  • Ability to partner with others across the College and externally to exchange information, collaborate on projects, share resources, etc.
  • May require negotiation skills and ability to reach mutual points of agreement and benefit among peers and colleagues.
  • Advanced level technical skills for functional area required.
