Position Summary

The Department of Pediatrics, University at Buffalo (UB), Jacobs School of Medicine and Biomedical Sciences and John R. Oshei Children’s Hospital is actively recruiting a part-time or full-time faculty physician in the Division of Pediatric Nephrology. The Division, comprised of three faculty members, has an active Fellowship Program and is located at the freestanding university-affiliated Oshei Children’s Hospital, part of the Kaleida Health System.

The successful candidate will have an appointment at the level of Assistant or Associate Professor with the Jacobs School of Medicine and Biomedical Sciences at the University at Buffalo (UB). The position offers excellent benefits with rank and salary commensurate with qualifications. UB seeks candidates whose experience, teaching, research, or community service has prepared them to contribute to our commitment to diversity and excellence.

Clinical duties include:

  • Coverage of ESRD (dialysis and transplant) patients, inpatient service, consultations and outpatient clinic
  • Should have an interest in research, either clinical and/or basic
  • Responsible for teaching fellows, residents and medical students

The John R. Oishei Children’s Hospital is located on the Buffalo Niagara Medical Campus and has 12 floors and 183 beds. It serves as the innovator and provider of the highest quality women and children’s health care in Western New York and beyond. Outpatient care is provided at the Conventus Outpatient Center located on the medical campus, as well as at satellite sites in the community.
