Adjunct Instructor, Humanities
Department: CommArts/Hum/Fine Arts Div
The College of Lake County is looking for adjunct faculty to teach American Decades (HUM 221) in the Humanities department. Courses are offered online, in-person, and in hybrid form (a blend of online and in-person instruction). Instructors with experience teaching online or a willingness to be in-house trained in online instruction are needed at the Lakeshore Campus (Waukegan), Southlake Campus (Vernon Hills), as well as the main campus in Grayslake. Instructors must plan and prepare a course syllabus, teach all scheduled classes, and respond to and evaluate student work.

Master’s degree in any Humanities field, or Master’s degree including at least 18 graduate credit hours of related course work in the area being taught.
Proven ability to work effectively and constructively with persons of diverse cultures, language groups, and abilities; demonstrate sensitivity to and ability to work with the diverse academic, socioeconomic, cultural and ethnic backgrounds of community college students, faculty, and staff, including those with disabilities; establish and maintain effective working relationships with those contacted in the course of work.
Competency in technologies commonly used in college level instruction.

Pay Rate: Per adjunct contract.
Total Hours per week: 3 credit hours per section
