Position Summary: The School of Management and Marketing at Southern Illinois University Carbondale invites qualified individuals to apply for an anticipated teaching position in the Hospitality, Tourism, and Event Management program to begin in Fall 2023. This is an Assistant Lecturer position, which is a term appointment (25%) that does not lead to tenure and requires the ability to teach courses in destination management.
Duties and Responsibilities: Teach undergraduate level courses in destination management within the Hospitality, Tourism, and Event Management program.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Earned at least a BS degree in marketing, tourism management, or related field by date of hire.
- Evidence of prior university teaching experience.

Preferred Qualifications: Preference will be given to applicants who have prior online teaching experience and least four years professional experience in nonprofit tourism development or destination management and marketing.
