A full-time (academic year appointment), clinical faculty position. The position is at the College of Laws Boise campus. It could be an Assistant Clinical Professor rank, an Associate Clinical Professor Rank, or Full Clinical Professor rank, depending on the successful candidates qualifications.
The faculty member in this position will be an integral part of the legal writing faculty team. This faculty member will be responsible for teaching up to two sections of the Colleges first-year legal writing and analysis (LWA) course and will work collaboratively with the other LWA faculty members to develop the course curriculum and major writing assignments. The successful candidate may also (1) teach an additional course depending on areas of interest and the Colleges curricular needs, or (2) help coordinate the Colleges upper-level Advanced Advocacy course.
(1) a J.D. from an accredited law school or the equivalent;
(2) at least three years of post-J.D. practice, clerkship, and/or teaching experience;
(3) a distinguished academic record;
(4) demonstrated excellent legal research and writing abilities.
(1) successful completion of the bar exam in at least one U.S. state;
(2) a demonstrated ability to work collaboratively with others.
