Placement Range: $71,855.55 – $80,837.49
General Description:
This position is a pivotal leadership role responsible for managing and transforming the college’s institutional effectiveness office. This position requires a strategic visionary with a data-driven mindset who will oversee the development of advanced and accurate analytics to evaluate the college’s goals and enhance student success outcomes.
Minimum Education/Experience:
A Master’s Degree in educational research, higher education, statistics, data science, or a closely related field.
Minimum (5) years of professional work experience in data science or institutional research, demonstrating a capacity to lead comprehensive evaluation systems to measure and enhance institutional effectiveness.
Experience in managing large-scale data collection, analyses, and data utilization for institutional advancement.
Previous work experience in a leadership role, including successful implementation and management of college or company-wide projects.
Experience with data governance and compliance with federal and state regulations.
Required Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
Knowledge:
Proficiency in data statistical analyses and software such as SAS, SPSS, R, Stata.
Proficiency In data programming languages such as SQL, or Python.
Proficiency in data visualization programs such as Tableau, Power BI, or Qlik.
Expertise in Institutional Research and Data Analysis
Knowledge of state and federal regulations and reporting requirements for institutions of higher education
Leadership and team collaboration principles
Skills:
Advanced skills in interpreting and analyzing research data to compile and write technical reports and present findings.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills for effective collaboration across all management levels.
Positive interpersonal skills and the capability to foster a collaborative work environment.
Abilities:
Strong leadership abilities to guide and develop staff, set departmental goals, and ensure alignment with the college’s mission.
Ability to ensure accurate and timely submission of required reports to government and accrediting bodies
Ability to interpret and present complex data in a clear and actionable manner for diverse audiences
