Overview
The Psychology department at the College of Liberal arts and Sciences, Northern Illinois University (NIU), is seeking to fill one full-time (non-tenure track) instructor position.
We are seeking candidates able to provide high-quality teaching in the areas of Psychology who fully embrace NIU’s mission of providing opportunity to a diverse student body by providing them with access to high quality education. Experience teaching and mentoring students of diverse backgrounds is highly preferred. Candidates must be comfortable teaching at both the undergraduate and graduate levels.
Position Summary
The Psychology Instructor will be responsible for teaching courses on research methods and other topics in Psychology at both the undergraduate and graduate levels and holding office hours.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Teaching will be up to 24 CUEs per academic year, 11-13 CUEs in Fall 2023 and 11-13 CUEs during Spring 2024.
- Lecture, teach and grade assignments.
- Evaluate and discuss student’s work; prepare assignments via Blackboard and post grades

- Ph.D. in Psychology
