Job description

The Fine Arts Department at Saint Anselm College, a Roman Catholic undergraduate liberal arts college in the Benedictine tradition in Manchester, NH invites applications for a three-year Assistant Professor position in Graphic Design to begin August 2026.

The successful candidate will: teach Graphic Design and other related courses within the Department using applicable technologies; advise Graphic Design majors; work with the Department Chair to oversee, develop, and grow the Graphic Design program and expand the curriculum in line with current and future trends; facilitate student internships; mentor senior portfolio and thesis work; and carry out other duties as assigned by the Department. The teaching load for this position is three courses per semester.

Required Skills and Experience: An MFA in Graphic Design is preferred, although other Master’s-level degrees and higher will also be considered. Candidates should demonstrate a strong commitment to excellence in teaching at the undergraduate level as well as scholarly research and creative output. Professional experience as a Graphic Designer is strongly preferred.

Founded in 1889, Saint Anselm College is an undergraduate, liberal arts college housed on a 350+ acre, residential campus, with a student body of approximately 2,100 students, 155 full-time faculty in addition to the monks of Saint Anselm Abbey. The college is located in the vibrant and diverse city of Manchester, NH, where 76 languages are spoken in the schools. The college is less than an hour from sandy beaches, the White Mountain National Forest, the Lakes Region, and metropolitan Boston.
