Mount Marty University is pleased to advertise for an open rank faculty position in Business with expertise in either Marketing or Finance. We encourage applications from those who are new to academia or who are seasoned in academic looking for a change.

Key Responsibilities:

Regardless of profile type, the successful candidate will be responsible to teach the breadth of courses in the program – (1) 12 credit hours per semester; (2) coordinate the schedule through the Registrar’s Office; (3) do academic advising; (4) participate in program assessment; and (5) work collaboratively with other faculty in the Business Department. In addition to courses within their discipline (i.e., Marketing or Finance), successful candidates should have the ability to teach other course offerings such as in Economics, Operations Management, Information Systems, and Human Resource Management, as and when needed.

Qualifications (two profile types)

A) The candidate in this profile type is either someone new to academia or someone who is a seasoned academic looking for a change. The successful candidate in this profile type would hold a Ph.D. in Business Administration or a related field, have teaching experience, and demonstrate evidence of scholarly activity. Applicants who are ABD will also be considered, provided they complete all doctoral requirements in the fall of 2026.

B) The candidate in this profile type would be someone with impressive experience in industry within either the Marketing or Finance disciplines. This person would also possess a Master’s degree in Business Administration or related field. The ideal candidate must be committed in principle and practice to Mount Marty University’s mission as a Catholic and Benedictine university

rooted in the Liberal Arts.
