The Department of Pathology and Laboratory Medicine at the Perelman School of Medicine at the University of Pennsylvania seeks candidates for an Assistant Professor position in the non-tenure academic clinician track. Expertise is required in the specific area of thoracic pathology. Applicants with additional cardiac pathology experience will be highly considered. Applicants must have an M.D. or M.D./Ph.D. or equivalent degree. American Board of Pathology, AP-only or AP/CP.

Teaching responsibilities may include medical students, residents, and fellows.

Clinical responsibilities may include participation in the thoracic pathology service at the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania and its affiliates, general frozen section service, autopsy service, and night/weekend call. Additional subspecialty interests to be combined with the Thoracic Pathology service will be considered.

Research or scholarship responsibilities may include opportunities that may be available to participate in clinical research and mentor trainees on academic pathway projects if desired.
