The College of Humanities and Social Sciences (CHSS) at the American University of Armenia seeks to appoint an Associate Dean to support the College, its programs, research centers, research initiatives, and aspirations for growth.

Major responsibilities:
- Serve as a member of the CHSS Leadership Team
- Assist the Dean in developing, promoting, and implementing the strategic plan for the College
- Support the Dean with all academic and administrative issues pertaining to the College
- Assist the Dean with course offerings, scheduling, and staffing, each semester
- Assist the Dean with the development of new academic programs
- Assist the Dean in developing the College’s fiscal budget
- Collaborate with Program Chairs, Center Directors, and faculty to facilitate research initiatives within the College and foster interdisciplinary collaborations
- Coordinate the outreach and promotion activities of the College
- Oversee graduate student recruitment efforts within the College
- Facilitate transfer credits for students, in collaboration with Program Chairs
- Coordinate with Program Chairs, Center Directors, and non-academic staff to develop promotional materials, including website content
- Teach three courses per year in a CHSS program
- Serve as Acting Dean in the absence of the Dean
- Perform other related duties as assigned by the Dean
Qualifications: The ideal candidate will possess a Ph.D. and hold the rank of Associate Professor or Full Professor in one of the disciplines represented within the College. A strong research portfolio coupled with relevant administrative experience (e.g., Program Chair, Center Director, etc.) is essential.

Compensation: Compensation is commensurate with the university-wide pay scale, qualifications, and experience. AUA offers housing allowance and international travel allowance to international hires, as part of its benefits package.
