Job Description
The School of Accountancy in the Strome College of Business at Old Dominion University seeks candidates for a lecturer position. This is an annual 10-month, non-tenured appointment that begins July 25, 2026.Position Type

A Master’s Degree in a business subject with 18 hours of graduate accounting credit or a Master’s Degree in Accounting, Accountancy or equivalent with 18 hours of graduate accounting credit from an AACSB-accredited university
Professional certification in accounting (e.g., CPA, CMA, CIA)Minimum required level and type of experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities
Demonstrated engagement with professional accounting organizations and community outreach
Relevant industry experience in accountingPreferred Qualifications
Teaching experience in auditing (priority consideration) and across multiple areas of accounting
Industry experience in auditing

The Strome College of Business offers undergraduate programs, masters degrees in accounting, economics, and public administration, an MBA, a PhD with concentrations in finance, marketing, management, and information technology, and PhD programs in business and public administration and urban policy.
